Hallo!

sorry for writing in english, but I can't speak german...
My name is Gabriele, I'm from Tuscany (Chiantishire, guess you know) and I ride a Red SV650S (at the moment a little crashed).

I'm a member of www.sv-italia.it forum, the twin website!

probably, on the first week of august I will go to Nurburgring with a friend (with a stage on Munich...). can you give me some hints about a lap on Nordschleife, where to lodge or whatever you want?

Thanks a lot

CIAO!

(I was in Munich last year and I liked it very much(both the brewery and the town)!....ehm, my nickname in italian means "Beer for free"...

Greetings to everybody, see you next week

Hmm, it depends on the weather. If it´s good, we´ll go to Austria, SV- Meeting. If it´s not so good I think, that we can meet in Munich. Let´s see. You can send me your Handynumber per pn, so we can talk at short notice...

Thanks a lot to everybody...
I really hope to meet some german SV rider...

How is the police (both austrian and german) behaviour with speed limits and noisy exhaust?
Do they close any eye or are they strict?

Bye

Well, in Austria they´re very strict with Germans (also Italians I think). The same in Germany. Every time I´m in Italy, I´m glad for coming there without any ticket... for speed limits.
And with your exhaust, I don´t know. Until now I had no problems.

Hello,
I´m also new and will get my SV between 26th and 29th of July.

@birragratis (behaviour of German police)

Recently (4th July) I´d an accident with my bicycle near Aschheim (in the east of Munich). I fell exactly in front of a waiting motorcyclist. Because I wasn´t able to continue with my tour immediately we hat a small conversation.

He told me his story:
He was on a tour with his motorbike (streetfighter reconstruction). Everything at his bike was permitted except the exhaust. The police carried out a routine traffic check and realized the irregular exhaust. Then the police confiscated his motorbike and brought it to an expert for evidence.

Not all policeman are equal but some policeman are more equal than ....
(not the typical behaviour of German police but it´s possible)

No disadvantage without an advantage: The girlfriend of the motorcyclist had to come with the car to pick him up. And she brought a first-aid-kit for me. Thanx to the unknown persons for helping me.

Breaking the speed limit isn´t very expensive in Germany compared to other EU-countries.
Usually you will not be stopped after an offence against the speed limit. Offences you´ve committed in Germany will not be punished in italy (it´s only possible between Germany and Austria) and after three month the offence is statute-barred.
If you´re stopped after breaking the speed limit you will´ve to pay the punish immidiately.
Your driving licence can be confiscated for breaking the speedlimit by 41 km/h out of built up areas and 31 km/ within built up areas.
Between 31 and 40 km/h over the speed limit it will cost 100 / 75 € (within / out of built up areas)

I think I´ll be in Munich at 31st of July, too. I hope to have my SV (650S, black) until then.

So long
Greetings from Munich to Italy
