First of all I want to apologize for using English instead of German, but my German is so bad that you wouldn’t understand anything of what I wrote. Hope it’s not a problem.
My name is Jaap, 23 years, live in the Netherlands and have a 2003 SV650S. I used this SV rider forum a lot to look for a nice aftermarket exhaust for my SV. I must say, it was very useful. The battle raged between a full Leovince, Akrapovic or BOS sytem. The Leovince wasn't a option, because it doesn't fit when you have a lower fairing or belly pan/chin spoiler!!!
In the end I bought the BOS system because of the good price. Probably I’m the first SV owner who has the system, because I couldn’t find any pictures of it. So it was pretty much of a gamble.As you can see below, the BOS system is pretty much the same as it was for the old SV’s. BOS redesigned the collector so that the only thing that varies per SV type (99-02, 03 and 04), is the link pipe to the muffler. The 03 and 04 use the original front pipe, the 99-02 models get a new front pipe because the orginal one is to long.
BOS makes the system in a sport version (with removable dB-eater) and a E-approved version. Both are the same price: around 649 euro. Perhaps a good tip for you, I bought the system with a 100 euro discount at www.h2o4u.net. The sound is great, especially without the dB-eater
